Bambu Cottage
Bambu Cottage is a romantic, tropical cottage nestled in the lush hillside plantation of the Jaquar Villas property.
It is surrounded with exotic foliage of plantain, banana, palms, bougainvilla and citrus trees.
Bambu Cottage is located between the two large villas, Palashia and Tangerine. The views of this sweet and
secluded hideaway are panoramic with views of the Caribbean Ocean and the mountains around.
Jaquar Villas property is located in one of the most dramatically scenic villa locations in all of Jamaica few acres of
lush, tropical plantation high above the town and beach, offering mesmerizing views, both day and night. It feels
as though you are far away; private and tropical, yet you can walk to the main road and the captivating, sandy beach.
Bambu Cottage consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, kitchenette, tiny sitting room, deck and small covered
back patio and is designed with rustic tropical décor. The ambience in this swanky house is relaxing and cozy.
And when it rains, it is most exhilarating.
This romantic private cottage is ideal as additional space when one or both large villas are booked for large
groups. Or separately great for a couple who wants to enjoy a private intimacy or cozy vacation retreat for a small
family.
When booked as part of a bigger villa booking, then the pool(s) is accessible. If booked by itself and separately,
guests of Bambu Cottage are welcome to use one of the pools on the Jaquar Villa property if one of the larger
villas is unoccupied. But when the cottage is booked separately and the large villas are booked for other groups,
the pools are not accessible. There is always the fabulous private membership beach within a nice stroll down
the road between the Cardiff Hall villas.
Guests staying at this cottage separately from the sister villas, may also have the services of a chef and
housekeeper if preferred, upon request at extra charge. If not, there is a fully equipped kitchen and a small grill
for guest use.
The staff is well trained and the chefs are excellent. We have menus to help you plan or devise your own specific
culinary experiences. You choose which wonderful meals you would like our chefs to prepare for you and your
fellow guests, daily. You may try Jamaican specialties or you may have your own preferences.
The delight of having the staff at your call is unlimited. You can have a lovely picnic packed and prepared for
you - to go. Or you may wish to have a special barbque planned and catered for. Wake up to a steaming cup of
Jamaican coffee, followed by full breakfast served when all guests are ready. For lunches and dinners the cooks
will prepare individual meals for children at times requested. Majestic sunsets enjoyed most nights at dinner time.
The tables are always set with personal care and attention to detail, so that each dining experience is a feast and
memorable occasion!
The grocery shopping can be handled by the chef. Guests may go groceries shopping with or without the chef if
they like. The chef can pre stock for the first few meals as per the guest’s prior to arrival request. The cost of food
is the responsibility of the guests. Plan to pay for groceries and gratuities in cash. Alternatively and for your
convenience, you may set up a credit account in a local supermarket. However cash will be required for small
vendors of fruit and vegetables and fresh fish.
Available on request are babysitters, massage therapists, personal workout trainers, manicurist, hair stylist and
or live entertainment . All of these services are offered in the privacy of the cottage.
We have a private driver with large vehicles (minibuses) and offers rare-to-be-found discounted rates to our
guests. Child seats available.
As a guest of this cottage, you will have access to the private membership beach. Our beautiful glistening white
sandy beach is a nice walk down the road between the Cardiff Hall villas.
Electricity is the same as US, no converters necessary for US appliances.
Cottage is child friendly with some child furnishings available upon request.
Local entertainment: Just a couple of minutes walk down the hill is The Cardiff, a small boutique hotel which
features lovely restaurant dining and bar with live music on occasion. There are numerous all inclusive resorts
along the beach, where you can join the fun for small fee - all inclusive for the day or night. There are a multitude
of small local drink bars, a popular "jerk" center, a beach bar and restaurant nearby. Ocho Rios, a bustling and
thriving town with lots of bars, restaurants, night clubs and numerous famous attractions, is only 20 minutes away.
Local scuba diving (certification can be completed at the villa pool), fishing (for dinner!), snorkeling and a great fun
seafood restaurant are just a short jaunt down the road from the villa. Our good friend "the horseman", will take
you riding and swimming with the horses upon request! A great championship golf course minutes down the hill
with very reasonable rates.
